感想
Hi! My name is Emil.
I’m from Sweden. I have been in Japan for about a year now and I’m studying at a Japanese language school.
I really enjoy working for IHCWAY because we are working 1 on 1. The students are less shy and know what they want to improve. Some students want to learn more grammar, other only practice their conversation skills. I always recommend my students to watch movies, read books or listen to radio. I think it’s easier to learn a language if you have fun at the same time.

Good luck!

Hi! My name is Laurent.I came from France.I have lived in Japan for 9 months and I teach English and French at IHCWAY for about 7 months.
This is a great experience and I really enjoy it. Learning English is not an easy thing, however I am really pleased with my students motivation, all of them are working very hard and improved a lot. Here are a few tips:

1. Stay focused,work a little bit everyday.
2. Ask your teacher a plenty of questions (don't be shy!).
3. When you learn a new vocabulary, always try to write sentences using them.
4. Read easy books, listen to English radio program (NHK).
5. Do your homework very carefully.

A bientôt.

Yvan

Hello everyone, my name is Mihail but you can call me Misho, it is the short form of the name, same as the English Michael and Mike.
I am from Bulgaria in Europe, came to Japan in April this year as a Monbusho research student and now I study at Yokohama National University, Department of Business administration.
I speak English, Bulgarian (my mother language), a little Russian and a little Japanese, I am very interested in this language.
My other interests are history, geography and of course, I like traveling very much.
I can happily say that working for IHCWAY as a teacher is one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. There are so many opportunities to meet different people, learn new things and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a casual talk and all that at a convenient time when you are not busy and in a convenient place, so that you don’t have to travel much, opportunities that few other schools can offer you.
Of course, these are opportunities not only for the teachers but for the students as well because all of us, teachers and students, are members of this school, we share the same ideas and benefits.
The English language, due to historical reasons, has become a lingua franca, a Latin term meaning a language widely used beyond the population of its native speakers. So if you can speak English, a whole new world will open for you, a world where you will be able to communicate freely with other people and believe me, communication is the most important asset of mankind.
As for the lessons, it is my custom to let you decide how you will study English. Maybe you want to emphasize on grammar, or enrich your vocabulary, or just have a casual talk and improve your conversational skills, or may be all of that, it is up to you.
I know that for Japanese people studying English is very difficult because it is a language so different from Japanese. It is like a dense dark forest and you are alone, trying to find your way through it. Well, let’s meet there, I will be your guiding light. I am looking forward to it.

Hi everyone, my name is Ben.
I came from New Zealand this year to study Electronics at Tokyo University.
Teaching for IHCWAY has been a great experience because the students always have fun being able to talk 1 on 1 and improve whatever aspect of their English is most important to them.
It is also rewarding to be able to see each student grow and become more confident with English.
I always believe the best way to study anything is to make it enjoyable, and I feel by doing that I can see the improvement in each student every time we meet.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello everyone, my name is Yuka Tanaka.
When I was 6 months old, I moved to England because of my father's job.
After living in London for 7 years, I moved to the Unites States of America and stayed in New York for 2 years.
I came back to Japan when I was 9. Currently, I am in my 3rd year at Sophia University where all classes are held in English. Moreover, I went to England as an exchange student last year, and I studied at the University of Sheffield for a year.
Ever since I came back to Japan at a young age, I have always been putting an effort in improving my English through various ways.
Firstly, I have been watching a lot of films. I would borrow DVDs and watch it with no subtitles. At times when I have understanding difficulties, I would normally watch it once with subtitles and then again without. This enables me to improve on my listening skills. Even if there were certain words which I did not understand, I am also able to imagine and think about the meaning by context.
Second, I like listening to English music. At first, I only listened to the rhythm. However, after listening for a period of time, I was able to understand the lyrics of the songs.
In the end, I will understand what kind of song the artist is singing. By doing this, it gives me motivation and sense of achievement from bettering myself.
Watching films and listening to music are not only things which you can do normally, but is a really fun way to improve one's English skills. Please give it a try and improve your English while having fun!

Hello everyone,My name is Ken, I'm from Vancouver, Canada.
I have been in Japan for about 10 months now.Things here are really different from Canada. People are so polite and also friendly. One of things I love about Japan is Food. Everything is so delicious!!
Being an IHCWAY instructor is great, because IHCWAY has a great system. Most of the lessons are based on 1 to 1 individual lesson. It not only helps the student to learn more and it also encourages the student to speak more.
I used to teach at a cram school (Juku), so I know juku is not a best place to learn English. At the cram school, there are many students in one class. Therefore not all students in the class get to speak. Especially most of Japanese people are a bit shy, so in a bigger classroom, some students are too shy to speak infront of other students.
One advice for the every student. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Also don't be shy. If you can conquer all these fears, you can learn English much faster.

感想
Hello everyone, my name is James Watson. I am 21 years old, and I am from The United States of America; more specifically, Wimberley, Texas.
I currently live in Yokohama, and study Japanese at a Japanese language school. I have been in Japan for about one year and three months, which, without a doubt, has been the most adventurous and spectacular of my life. I have seen and experienced so many new and unique things, and met many great people.
Ever since I was a high school student in Texas, I had a keen interest in Japan. After making Japanese friends, my interest only intensified. Luckily, one of my friends invited me to visit him in Japan during our winter vacation. I accepted, and had a spectacular time. Even then, I knew that I wanted to spend much more time in Japan; however I could have never imagined that I would actually be living here!
Compared to Japan, life in my hometown is very different. Located in central Texas, Wimberley is a very small, quaint tourist town with a population of only 3,797. It is surrounded by beautiful, green hills and mountains, and has numerous rivers flowing through it. Due to the large abundance of land in Texas, at my house, we have 7 horses, 7 cats, and 7 dogs, 2 chickens, and one fish. It is actually more like a zoo than a house!
Even though it is totally different from Texas, I really enjoy my life here in Japan. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and my wonderful girlfriend. I also enjoy cooking, karaoke, BMX, reading, and exploring the city of Yokohama!
Because I study Japanese, I understand how it feels to learn another language. I know how difficult it can be, yet I also know how rewarding it is. Because English is not an easy language, especially to many Japanese, my goal is to help anyone who wants to improve their English; be it reading, writing, listening, or conversation. Together, we can become better English speakers, and ultimately, better people!
Sincerely,

James Watson

会話もパーフェクト、TOEICも満点取得経験者のカリン先生に、どうしたら英会話がうまくなるのかについて、アドバイスを頂きました。
感想
Hi, I’m Karin. If you wish to improve your English skills, STUDY HARD!! Read, write, listen, and speak! Accent doesn't matter, but pronunciation does.
You don’t need to sound like a native speaker, talk slowly if you have to. The most important thing is to be understood! When you talk with someone who speaks English clearly, try to copy the way they speak while paying attention to their intonation and rhythm.
Always ask yourself why you need to and want to study English. Motivate yourself! It won’t happen overnight but if you put a lot of effort into it you WILL improve!!
Learning a new language is difficult and frustrating so be patient with yourself and don’t expect instant results. You’ll get there Have FUN while you’re at it!

First let me tell you how I learned to speak Japanese.
… Thank you very much to all the hoikuen mothers for taking me out to Karaoke!
Listening to Japanese songs and trying to sing it along was my best practice!
It is difficult and sometimes…boring just to be @ your desk trying to study for hours.
I learned my Japanese by singing and reading the caption.so if you started to feel tired setting@your desk all day,why don't you try what I did. It's fun and great way of practice and guess what?
The stress you thought you had? Well that's all gone, once you get the hang of it,you will find yourself singing and speaking so well!

秘訣は英語で歌うこと、カラオケで練習だそうです!
